Watch this video about the ELCA’s Youth Leadership Summit, a national gathering that brings together youth leaders from throughout the church to work together on new ways people can get involved across each of the 65 synods.
The ELCA Youth Leadership Summit is just one of several ways in which youth across the church get involved to answer God’s call to action. As you may have learned (or soon will), Lutheran Outdoor Ministries is another great way to get involved at the national level. From a variety of summer camps nationwide to youth leadership programs at Lutheran universities (such as the Augsburg Youth Theology Institute), you have a chance to immerse yourself into God’s work at a national level.
Check out these camps to see where God might be calling you.
Paul’s letter to the Ephesians has something to say about how we should lead our own lives. In Ephesians 4:1-6 he writes, “I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God . . . of all, who is above all and through all and in all."
